Kiddimoto is the UK’s original balance bike company. Since 2003, we have produced a wide range of balance bikes, ride-on toys, bicycle accessories and educational resources.

All products are designed and developed in-house. Production has been moved from the original small in-house facility in Cheddar to China, mainly due to economies of scale and efficiencies.

Kiddimoto was the winner of the Somerset Business Award in 2010, won investment on TV's Dragons’ Den in 2011, picked up The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2015, and has many other accolades under its belt. Having completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business programme last year, Kiddimoto has continued to see strong growth despite so much economic and political uncertainty.

Last September, we were confident enough to move the business from a small industrial unit in Westbury sub Mendip to a significant office and warehouse in Cheddar, which has future proofed the business growth for at least 5-7 years.

When we won the Somerset Business Award in 2010, we had 5 staff, a turnover of less than half a million and steady year on year growth. In 2017, we have maintained strong growth and now have 13 full-time staff and 5 retained freelancers, 10 factories in the Far East, exporting to over 40 countries and on target to turnover almost £3m. Kiddimoto is a profitable business with a robust growth plan.

We have a formidable team, many of which have been in the business for some years. Apart from its great people and leadership, product development is key to being at the forefront of our market and superior to our competitors.

Innovative, original and often pioneering products give us an edge, which is the envy of many of our peers.

Kiddimoto has just launched a new offering to pre-schools and primary schools, which is aimed at meeting many of the core competencies in the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). The package offered is a resource that will aid teaching staff and make provision of EYFS easier and more rounded.

This product has significant potential to see Kiddimoto double turnover, staff and profits within 3 years. The strategy for this section of the business is to make Kiddimoto more stable within its UK market, particularly with uncertainty amongst retailers and trade customers.

It will also protect Kiddimoto from many complexities to currency, trade agreements, export, safety testing, IP and Trade Mark that may come with Brexit.

Kiddimoto has also entered into a new partnership with its nominated charity, Above and Beyond, which is a major financial contributor to the Bristol city centre hospitals, in particular the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children (BRHC).

An overview of historic financial growth clearly demonstrates ambition and success is at the core of Kiddimoto.

Kiddimoto is a business with amazing products, a globally recognised brand, ambitious and skilled people at the helm and has a vision for many years of success.
